Turning to God through our storms

In life, there are a lot of storms. Sometimes it feels that we have been through and are going through so many storms, that it is unimaginable to face another one. While other times, we live without storms, but we’re just waiting for the next to arise. It’s really easy to fall into the idea that because we are Christians our storms will disappear. We tend to go through the motions of life and turn to God on Sundays, when we go to church. It’s not until things get tough in life that we turn to God for a relationship. Matthew 8:23-27: “Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
